Meeting of the Permanent Technical Committee for Human Skills of the Arab Seaports Federation at Port Training Institute

In line with the institute's role in training and qualifying Arab human resources, the 28th meeting of the Permanent Technical Committee for Human Skills of the Arab Seaports Federation was held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the headquarters of the Port Training Institute in Alexandria.

The meeting was attended by Professor. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute and Research and Consultation Center for the Maritime Transport Sector, who welcomed and greeted the distinguished members and officials of the Arab ports. The event also saw the presence of His Excellency Major General Essam Badawi, Secretary General of the Arab Seaports Federation, and His Excellency Dr. Samir Al-Tarmal, Director of the Training and Capacity Development Center at the Libya Trade Network from Libya, along with officials from the Port Training Institute and the Research and Consultation Center for the Maritime Transport Sector.

Additionally, participating via live broadcast were His Excellency Captain Mohammed Juma Al Shamisi, President of the Arab Seaports Federation and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Ports, and His Excellency Mr. Nasser Al-Sheleimi, Director General of the Kuwait Ports Authority, as well as officials and representatives from the ports of Jordan, Bahrain, Palestine, Iraq, the Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company, and the Port Said Container and Cargo Handling Company.

Professor. Alaa Morsy gave a presentation highlighting the institute's achievements in the field of training and education, and the qualification of human resources for various Arab countries. He also reviewed the training programs and international cooperation planned for the upcoming period.

This comes within the framework of Port Training Institute's role in enhancing Arab cooperation in the maritime field, coordinating and collaborating among Arab ports, and unifying visions to advance Arab ports.
