MSc program consists of a total (48) Credit Hours spread over a minimum of four semesters. The program consists of total (4) core courses and (4) elective courses of (24) Credit Hours spread over a minimum of two semesters. In addition, students have to register (24) Credit Hours as a research Thesis (Two parts in a minimum one year).
- All courses are delivered in English language and thesis may be written in English or Arabic language
- The Candidate must prepare and publish at least one paper during MSc Program
- The Candidate must prepare and provide a "Fundamental Digital Transformation Certificate" (FDTC) from any Public University during MSc Program
The student has to submit a proposal for master thesis at the end of first year then, the student has the right to register MPI70R1 Thesis I after acceptance of proposal from Institute council. The student should prepare for seminar after completing 50% of the thesis to demonstrate what he has done in open discussion in attendance of Institute teaching stuff. After acceptance of seminar, the student has the right to register MPI70R2 Thesis II.
Admission Requirements for the MSc Program
The institute accepts the students holding:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Transport/Naval Science
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Law, Engineering, International Transport and Logistics or Equivalents degree
- The Candidates holding Bachelor's degree in Maritime Transport/Naval Science should pass fifteen credit hours (Five Courses) to join the MSc degree as follows:
- Management of Information System
- Scientific Thinking
- Statistical and computational Methods
- Energy Efficiency Management
- Environmental Risk Assessment and Management
- The Institute can impose at maximum 3 courses as a deficiency courses for some Bachelor's degree from the following courses:
- Management of Pollution Crises and Cont. Plans
- Statistical and computational Methods
- Energy Efficiency Management
- Logistic Marketing Strategy
- International Business Management
- Naval Architecture and Stability
- Marine Accident Investigations
