Degrees Awarded:

The MPI awards the following programs/degrees in Maritime Transport Technology:

·         Professional Development Courses Program,

·         Higher Diploma (one-year duration) 

·         Masters Degree :

  • MSc program consists of a total (48) Credit Hours spread over a minimum of four semesters. The program consists of total (4) core courses and (4) elective courses of (24) Credit Hours spread over a minimum of two semesters. In addition, students have to register (24) Credit Hours as a research Thesis (Two parts in a minimum one year).

·         Doctorate in Maritime Transport Technology Program (By research)

  • PhD program consists of a total (60) Credit Hours spread over a minimum of six semesters. The program consists of total (4) core courses and (4) elective courses of (24) Credit Hours spread over a minimum of two semesters. In addition, students have to register (36) Credit Hours as a research dissertation spread over a minimum of four semesters.

In addition to the wide variety of the postgraduate programs that propose by the Maritime Postgraduate Institute, the Institute provides a number of new practical postgraduate programs and Professional Development Courses that satisfying the scientific and technical achievements of the maritime transport individuals.
