Welcoming our dear students to the Business Information Systems Department (BIS) is always a delightful experience I personally experience every semester. I genuinely welcome you to the BIS department and wish you a four-year experience where you will Explore, Enjoy and Learn.
The main aim of the department studies is to learn how to provide technology based business solutions using hands on technology skills.
The BIS department is a one of a kind major. You enjoy what you do every day because of the art of merging business studies, data science and technology and that makes it very interesting indeed! The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Business Information Systems (BIS) Major. The Four-year Study Bachelor Degree consists of 144 credit hours of which half of them are major courses offered by the department and a variety of BIS related elective courses.
The department also offers an International Dual Degree from the University of Northampton (UoN) in the UK, where students registering in this program graduate with two certificates from the AAST and UoN.
Each member of staff and each student are assured that they belong to our big family as soon as they join the department. As a department we develop to achieve the highest possible standards of excellence in all the educational and department activities.
Our students will be supported by faculty, and by colleagues from within department throughout their years of education. It doesn’t end there. We ensure and are keen to retain long-term relationships with our graduates where we connect them to the real world for internship opportunities and prestigious highly paid job offers at respected firms. We also encourage and guide our students using our facilities and incubation center to develop their own startups that always emerge in their creative gradation project ideas and implementations.
