Graduation Project Awards

Graduation projects at the College of Language and Communication represent the culmination of a student’s academic journey and an opportunity to showcase their research, creativity, and media production skills. Many of these projects have won awards at prestigious festivals and competitions, underscoring the quality of education and practical training provided by the college and its ability to prepare graduates who are competitive in the media job market.

Project “Ghalyah”​​​​​​​

CLCians Win 2nd Place at 6 October University Media Festival

Integrated Marketing Communication program students at CLC Smart Village won second place for their awareness project "Ghalya" at the 6 October University Media Festival.

The project discussed the issue of indebted women (Gharemat), aiming to raise awareness about the dangers of this social phenomenon and support women in crisis through a fully integrated marketing campaign including ads, a website, digital content, and collaborations with influencers.

AASTMT Smart Village Wins First Place with “The Session – You Are at the Heart of the Story” at International & Arab Media Creativity Competition

The Media and Digital Transformation Foundation announced the results of the 2nd International Edition and the 5th Arab Edition of the Media Creativity Competition, which encompassed research and creative projects at all levels. The 2025 edition witnessed remarkable participation from 118 universities, colleges, and educational institutions, with a total of 512 projects competing at the local, Arab, and international levels.

First Place: "The Session – You Are at the Heart of the Story"  A distinguished project by the College of Language and Media (Smart Village Branch), Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, Egypt. The work stood out for its innovative storytelling approach, placing the audience at the center of the narrative and blending creativity with impactful media production techniques.

First Place: "Forgotten Faces" – Another award-winning project from the College of Language and Media (Smart Village Branch), Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, Egypt. This project impressed the judges with its strong visual narrative, shedding light on overlooked stories and voices, and demonstrating exceptional research and production quality.

Project “Corona Ad”

The College of Language and Communication (CLC) at Smart Village Wins Award in AIM Awards for Artificial Intelligence

CLC Smart Village has won an award in the Artificial Intelligence in Media (AIM) Awards, under the advertising category, for an innovative commercial for Corona chocolate, entirely produced using artificial intelligence technologies.

The advertisement was created as part of the "Artificial Intelligence Applications in Digital Media" course during the Spring 2024–2025 semester. The project aimed to revive authentic Egyptian products and enhance local identity through innovative technological approaches using AI.

The project was supervised by Dr. Soheir Osman, Professor of Journalism, along with teaching assistants Thowayba Mohamed and Merihan Mattar, and was produced by the talented students: Habiba Zaghloul, Basma Mohamed, Donia Amr, and Basmla Ragab.
