The library can accommodate up to 65 students. It houses a total of 3,698 books covering various disciplines and includes 2,341 titles in English and 857 titles in Arabic. Additionally, the library holds 500 master’s and doctoral theses.
It subscribes to 15 scientific journals and magazines, including Time, Detail, and Al-Bayt. The library is equipped with 8 computers that provide access to websites and online libraries, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
The library has offered subscriptions for all students and faculty members to a variety of databases and digital libraries, including the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB). Through the EKB, users can access numerous academic resources such as IEEE, Emerald, Taylor & Francis, ScienceDirect, JSTOR, and e-book collections like Springer Nature and EBSCO, as well as thesis and dissertation databases such as ProQuest. The library offers an email service (svlibrary@aast.edu) through which faculty and students can send requests and inquiries, and receive the results, whether articles, research papers, or theses within 48 hours.
An Open Access search engine is also available, enabling users to search for books available either within the campus library or across all AASTMT branches. It can be accessed via: http://openaccess.aast.edu.
The library also facilitates inter-branch borrowing, allowing users to request books from any AASTMT branch within Egypt through an internal network that connects all branches. Requested books are made available within 48 hours under the same borrowing conditions as if they were in the local branch.
