Program

Egyptian Archaeology

Objectives

  • This course will take over from EGPT 307 and continue to lead the students into further steps of Middle Egyptian grammar (morphology and syntax) until they will have a full picture of the language. Students will now read and transliterate short and middle-length passages in hieroglyphic script. During the course students will also appreciate the approach taken by different grammars and more broadly linguistic issues within the study of Middle Egyptian.
