College of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage at AASTMT is the first and only college that offers international quality standards degree in Upper Egypt in this field. It is the first bachelor in Egypt that combines archaeology with cultural heritage and is taught in English. Highly qualified foreign faculty illustrated members of the international archaeological missions in Egypt teach and train the students. Furthermore, it provides professional training programs, as well as technical and academic consultancy services for a better future of the Arabic Cultural Heritage.
The geographical place of the new college was purposefully ed to be an Arabic and an African excellence cluster in the core of Upper Egypt, Aswan, the gateway to Africa. Aswan, the city which is announced to be the Smart, Green Capital of Heritage and Economics of Africa in 2017. The proximity of the campus to the archaeological sites, the access to museums, and the rich heritage of the city make it a unique and a perfect destination to study archaeology and cultural heritage.
