College of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology participated in the Climate Conference COP27, which is being held in Sharm El Sheikh during the month of November, Dr. Both in the field of energy and environment. The lectures dealt with different topics such renewable energy, climate changes, water security and sustainable cities.

The Fifth Meeting of the PIANC Working Group Titled: ‘Guidelines For Inland Waterways Infrastructures To Facilitate Tourism’ 

Professor Akram Soliman Elselmy, Dean of the Port Training Institute and a Professor of Port Planning and Coastal Engineering at the Arab Academy, recently participated in the fifth meeting of the Working Group responsible for PIANC's activities in Inland Waterways. This group is focused on creating an Infrastructure Development Guide to promote tourism. The meeting was conducted online, and these sessions occur on a monthly basis. In March 2022, they are planning to hold a meeting in conjunction with the "Marlog 11" International Maritime Transport and Logistics conference organized by the (AASTMT) in Alexandria, Egypt. PIANC, founded in 1885 and based in Brussels, provides guidance and technical expertise to enhance sustainable waterborne transport infrastructure for ports, marinas, and waterways worldwide.​​​​​​​

The Fourth Edition of the Arab Week for Sustainable Development 

H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag – President of the AASTMT participated in the activities of the Fourth Edition of the Arab Week for Sustainable Development that was organized by the League of Arab States, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Egypt, the United Nations, the European Union and the World Bank, during the period from 13 - 15 February 2022, under the theme "Together for Sustainable Recovery", as to probe ways of alleviating repercussions and negative impacts of coronavirus to help achieve sustainable development goals in Arab countries.

RESILINK Kick-off meeting in Alexandria, Egypt

Oct. 25-26, 2022. The physical kick-off meeting of RESILINK took placed in Alexandria, Egypt, with the participation of Mohamed Wageih, PRIMA project officer of Agro-Food thematic area. AASTMT Organizes the 7th International Conference on Advanced Technology and Applied Sciences

The 7th International Conference on Advanced Technology and Applied Sciences (ICaTAS'2022), that is jointly organized between Arab Academy for Science & Technology in cooperation with UTM Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology (UTM-MJIIT), in Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia, 25-26th October 2022. The opening ceremony is held in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Environmental and Water: Datuk Seri Ir Dr. Zaini bin Ujang, the General Malaysian Chairman Dean Professor Ts. Dr. Ali bin Selamat, and JUC Chairman Prof. Masahiko Tachibana, the AASTMT conference Chair Prof. Khaled Shehata, the AASTMT conference Co-Chair Prof. Sherin Youssef, the program Chair Prof. Mohamed El-Mahalawy, the Organization Committe Chair Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azeem, and the Publication Chair Dr. Safa Gasser. Many international participants attended the conference, with distinguished keynote speakers, researchers, experts and industry partenership.The conference develops and highlights new ideas in research and applied technology to promote new advances in Science, technology, environmental resilience and sustainability. All accepted papers will be SCOPUS indexed.

E-Learning Platform Training Workshop for all partners of the GREENLAND project

In preparation for the WP4 – e-Learning Platform Training Workshop for all partners of the GREENLAND project during the period (25-27) July 2022 at the Arab Academy in Alexandria, On Saturday, June 25, 2022, e-Learning Platform Training Workshop was held at the Arab Academy in Alexandria for the AASTMT’s staff on the use and operation of the e-Learning platform of the GREENLAND project. The training was conducted by Smart Media Company, which is responsible for designing, creating and establishing the e-Learning Platform. The training program included interactive sessions covering detailed explanation for the instructor, the mentor and the NEETs panels.

AASTMT Greenland Project Celebrates Pi-Day

In the occasion of Pi Day , the 14th of March 2022 , AASTMT has organized a workshop to highlight the application of Mathematics in many field such as Power systems , Electronic Networks , and how they can help to expect the trajectory of COVID 19 through many projects and research. During that workshop, GREENLAND AASTMT team took benefit of that day to make some awareness to the audience about the main goal of the project, the partners and how we can change our society by training many NEETs and helping them to find opportunities.

MED Food TTHubs meeting to establish a synergy with Med-Quad (ENI CBC Med Programme) Develop of the roadmap for the creation of the 7 Trace and Trust Hubs in Greece (Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (iBO / CERTH), Green Projects S.A), Italy (Tecnoalimenti S.C.p.A.), Spain (UPM - LifeSTech), Tunissia (ESIM), Egypt (AASTMT), Portugal (INOV), Jordan (JUST). Also, define the goals of the pilot testing. Meeting was carried out on 18 May 2022.
