Expansion of collaboration between AASTMT and Fortinet (Global Cybersecurity Company)
In May 2024, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) expanded its collaboration with Fortinet, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, to strengthen students’ access to industry-recognized digital skills. The initiative introduced Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) certification courses, established a cybersecurity laboratory on campus, and provided free exam vouchers and training workshops to students within the Faculties of Engineering and Computer Science.
By offering globally accredited certifications at no additional cost, this partnership directly supports SDG 1 (No Poverty) by removing financial barriers to high-demand professional qualifications and enhancing the employability and income-generating potential of students, particularly those from low-income backgrounds. Through the creation of equitable access to digital education and workforce-ready skills, AASTMT contributes to poverty reduction by fostering inclusive economic opportunities in Egypt’s growing technology sector.

On 29th April 2024, A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the AASTMT – Institute of Technical and Professional Studies and Caritas Egypt to provide training courses for refugees. This partnership reflects the Academy’s commitment to social responsibility and human development by offering technical education and vocational training programs that empower the most vulnerable groups and support sustainable development efforts.

On 10th June 2024, The United Nations High Commissioner for
Refugees (UNHCR) and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime
Transport launched a joint initiative titled “Bridge of Hope”, aimed at
empowering refugees by providing scholarships to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
This initiative reflects the commitment of both the Academy and UNHCR to
promoting the values of humanity and solidarity, creating inclusive
learning environments, and facilitating sustainable solutions that enable
refugees to build a better future through education.

Continuing the series of training programs provided by the Productivity and Quality Institute proposed under the diploma program “Administrative and Supervisory Skills, Professional Diploma," in conjunction with Mellitah Oil and Gas Company, a training course was held titled “Personal Effectiveness in Organizational Development” by Dr. Moustafa El Mokadem on 24th April 2024. This diploma provides individuals with the knowledge and experience necessary to effectively manage administrative tasks and supervise teams within different organizations. Company - Productivity and Quality Institute
The Productivity and
Quality Institute signed a contract with Trans Misr Company on 10th
March 2024 to manage and operate stations in the free zone. The goal is to
create and execute an integrated management system that satisfies international
standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, which was fulfilled through our
Consulting team expert guidance. The cooperation aims to augment the
effectiveness of management and elevate the caliber of services rendered in the

Administrative and Supervisory Skills Professional Diploma Program - Productivity
and Quality Institute
Mellitah Oil and Gas Company are one of the biggest national oil and gas companies in Libya, and PQI is excited to be partnered with them. In February 2024 PQI conducted the first program to train the senior management cadres at the institute's headquarters in Alexandria, to provide designed training programs that meet the needs of Mellitah Company. The series of training programs proposed within the diploma aim to enhance the technical and professional capabilities of the company's employees, contribute to improving its overall performance, and develop human resources in the energy sector. Quality and Safety of Food Industries” Professional Diploma Program (Wave 3) - Productivity and Quality Institute
In February 2024, the third wave of Quality and Safety of Food Industries Professional Diploma Program was effectively executed in collaboration with the Agricultural Syndicate, in the presence of Dr Sobhy Sallam -Head of Agricultural Syndicate- and Dr Mostafa Elsayed - PQI consultancy team. Graduates of the diploma are equipped with practical skills and techniques to implement management systems as well as the necessary skills to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards, conduct food safety audits and helping organizations to avoid fines, and reputational damage.

A five-day training course for a distinguished company employee of Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (SIDPEC) was held by Dr. Tarek Awad on 17th March 2024. The course was implemented to ensure the precision and dependability of laboratory results, ISO17025 is an international standard that outlines technical competency requirements for testing and calibration laboratories.
