Cadets may be appointed to Aida IV, or ships of Nama for guided sea training. Their trade routes may take them to every continent and across every ocean on the globe.As a cadet you will be running at sea for a duration of 12 months after joining any of the above mentioned ships, as soon as you have completed your basic studies in the college of maritime transport and technology at AASTMT.

Ships actually operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with crew members rotating on leave after their vessel appointment has been dispatched. While technical officers and crew often work a system of watches each day, usually in a rule of four hours on and eight hours off.The lifestyle at sea will depend on the type and trading rule of each ship, with great opportunities for world-wide travel.

 The food and fitting on board is excellent. Whatever the ship type you serve on, there will likewise be the opportunity to pursue leisure interests, socialize with colleagues on board or survey for further professional qualifications.
