International Transport and Logistics Institute of Alexandria Academic Sponsor of International Women Summit 2024 in Cairo

The International Transport and Logistics Institute of Alexandria (ITLI) at The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) has successfully participated in the International Women Summit 2024 Conference as an “Academic Sponsor” which took place on the 7th of March 2024 at the Nile Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Cairo.

The conference was a huge success having 32 female experts as speakers who participated in sessions, keynote speeches and panel discussions about several topics including “Sustainable Agriculture and Food”, “Challenges and Opportunities of Financial Technology (Fintech) Innovation in The Banking Sector”, and other economic development and female empowerment topics. The conference also included masterclasses and workshops from 5 experts which included topics about artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, mentorship, fundraising, and customer excellence. At the end of the conference the winners of the Top Women Awards were announced and honored.

ITLI AAST participated in the conference in various ways besides being the academic partner, which included facilitating workshops, and providing partial scholarships. ITLI program coordinators Ms. Nisreen Abdelwahed and Ms. Christine Mourad engaged with delegates to give them educational counseling tips through the ITLI AAST booth. Dr. Mahmoud Mansi – ITLI’S Marketing Coordinator & Post Graduate Instructor – has participated with one workshop “Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset for Future Career Development and Business Sustainability”, and was also one of the judges in the Top Women Awards. Prof. Dr. Sara ElzarkaDean of the International Transport and Logistics Institute, Alexandria – granted the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT)’s 50 Years of Excellence Trophy to; Dr. Ahmed El Shal; President of the International Women Summit Conference & the Chairman of ICOM Group, as a gesture of ITLI AASTMT’s empowerment and faith in Egypt’s female leaders and change agents.
