Celebrating The Winners of the ISCEA Case Competition 2024 in Egypt - Innovation in Supply Chain Management

The ISCEA Case Competition has become a hallmark event in Egypt, showcasing the brightest minds in supply chain management. In its second year, the competition was a resounding success, drawing in 12 enthusiastic teams and culminating in a celebration of innovation and excellence. Organized by the International Transport and Logistics Institute (ITLI) at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), this year’s event highlighted the remarkable talents of young professionals in the field.

A Special Recognition of Achievement

We proudly announce the winners of the 2024 ISCEA Case Competition in Egypt:

  1. 1st Place: Eagles Team
  2. 2nd Place: OptiChain
  3. 3rd Place: Green Chain

The Eagles Team emerged as the champions, consisting of four dedicated students from Aswan, Egypt, currently enrolled in the College of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at AASTMT South Valley Campus. As fourth-semester students, their innovative approach and collaborative spirit shone through, earning them the top spot in this prestigious competition. Their victory not only underscores their hard work and creativity but also positions them to represent Egypt in the upcoming regional and global ISCEA competitions.

Last Year’s Champions: A Legacy of Excellence

This year’s competition continues a legacy established by last year’s winners, the Elite Team, also from Aswan and the same college. Their outstanding performance in the 2023 ISCEA Case Competition propelled them to the global stage, where they secured third place. The success of the Elite Team serves as an inspiring benchmark for the Eagles Team and all participants, demonstrating the potential of Egyptian talent in the international arena.

Acknowledging Key Contributors

This event would not have been possible without the invaluable support of the competition’s key partners, including ISCEA USA, which provided resources and expertise that enriched the competition. The judges, comprised of industry experts and academics, played a crucial role in assessing the innovative solutions presented by the teams, ensuring a fair and rigorous evaluation process. Their insights and feedback are instrumental in shaping the future of supply chain management education and practice. The jurey members this year were: Prof. Riham Adel - Dean of ITLI AASTMT, Dr. Mahmoud Mansi – Marketing Lead at ITLI AASTMT & Egypt’s ISCEA Global Case Competition Coordinator, Prof. Akram Soliman Elselmy - Dean of College of Engineering and Technology at AASTMT, Dr. Mahmoud Seif – Head Of Material Planning Management, Supplier Delivery Performance Management & Customs, Mr. Sherif Salama - Head of Operations & Logistics Manager at Naggar Foreign Trade and ITLI Ambassador, Dr. Hanin Haifa - the Vice Dean of Information Technology Affairs at Modern University College and an Assistant professor, Faculty of Business and economics at Birzeit University and Department Head, Bachelor in Cybersecurity Program, Dr. Mohamed Khalil Sharaf - the Administrative Director of Presidential Initiatives & Administrative Resources & Human Development at Alexandria Armed Forces Medical Complex.

The organization of the event by ITLI at AASTMT has been pivotal in fostering an environment where students can showcase their skills and innovative ideas. Under the leadership of the faculty and staff, the competition provided a platform for networking and learning, further enhancing the educational experience for all participants.
