ITLI AAST Celebrates its First Supply Chain Ambassadors Program in the Middle East
On the 9th of July 2024, the International Transport and Logistics Institute (ITLI) at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AAST) proudly announced the successful completion of its inaugural “ITLI Supply Chain Ambassadors Program” for the 2023/2024 academic year. This innovative program marks a significant milestone as the first ambassadors initiative in the educational sector in the Middle East, featuring over 50 students and alumni from diverse doctoral, master’s, and professional diploma programs across Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. All the ambassadors were honored by ITLI Dean Prof. Sara Elzarka, after she gave a motivational speech about their rich contributions and wishing them the best in their roles as ambassadors in their own communities.
The ITLI Ambassadors Program aimed to empower participants through sponsored training focused on essential 21st-century competencies. Throughout the program, ambassadors engaged in various activities, including publishing articles on the ITLI website, speaking at conferences, forging strategic partnerships, and contributing innovative ideas that align with ITLI’s mission and vision.
Dr. Mahmoud Mansi - ITLI Marketing Lead and the Founder of the ITLI Supply Chain Ambassadors Program - highlights the importance of grassroots marketing in today’s educational landscape. “In the 21st century, ‘word of mouth’ and ‘brand advocates’ are among the most effective marketing trends. By enrolling consumers in an educational and motivational ambassador program, we empower them to become champions for our cause,” he stated. “This approach gives clearer direction and strategic impact to our outreach efforts.”
