This course acquaints the Master students with updated technologies utilized in drug manufacturing of modified release products and nano-pharmaceuticals. A focus on the application of these technologies with various equipment advantages and limitations during the production and packaging of different dosage forms will be provided. In addition, updated international requirements and standards set by regulatory bodies regarding GMP for pharmaceuticals will be discussed in relation to Quality risk management, Deviations, root cause analysis (RCA) tools and corrective and preventive action (CAPA), Qualification of facilities, equipment, and utilities, validation, auditing among others.
