The course introduces students to the use of biological systems to assess pharmacologic activity, strength, and toxicity of products with therapeutic potential. Efficacy studies for drugs acting at central and autonomic nervous systems, cardiovascular system, hormones, analgesics, and anti-inflammatory drugs are also discussed.
