Description
This course deals with the characteristics and use of drugs intended for different endocrinologic disorders (Diabetes, thyroid disorder, Cushing syndrome, ..etc), different renal disorders and related fluid and electrolyte disturbances (acute and chronic renal failure, uremic syndrome, kidney stones, ..). The mechanism of action of different agents commonly used for the aforementioned disorders is provided. Interactive approaches are used to familiarize the students with background information underlying the expected side effects and the interactions between these agents and other drugs, foods, or disease conditions.
