The College of Computing and Information Technology emphasizes practical learning and industry collaboration. Through diverse internships and training programs with leading institutions and companies, students gain hands-on experience, strengthen technical and soft skills, and stay aligned with the latest trends in computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
A 30-hour summer course on Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Communication was completed in July 2025,
organized by the University of Salamanca and the Arab League/Arab Academy.
The program focused on AI applications, cybersecurity challenges, and digital communication, while promoting international academic collaboration.

I participated in a five-week internship program, consisting of four weeks focused on technical skills and one week dedicated to soft skills. The format was blended: one week online, one week onsite, alternating throughout the month, with every Saturday fixed as an online session. The onsite training took place at the Creativa Innovation Hub (El Dokki). During the program, I worked on multiple hands-on projects covering areas such as cybersecurity, system hardening, SIEM deployment, automation with n8n, networking, and penetration testing, as well as a group project simulating enterprise infrastructure. The final week emphasized communication, presentation, teamwork, and professional development (Soft Skills).
Each session was delivered by a different instructor, each with a unique career journey and valuable experiences to share. This exposure was inspiring and insightful, as it gave me the opportunity to understand how professionals in the field advanced in their careers. I took the chance to ask questions and seek advice whenever possible, which broadened my
perspective on potential paths in cybersecurity.
The internship concluded with a final assessment, and overall, the experience was highly valuable for my growth as a SOC analyst. It provided not only technical depth and practical exposure, but also broader insights into real-world practices and professional development.
The Embedded AVR Level 1 training covers C programming basics and advanced concepts, AVR microcontroller interfacing with automotive protocols (CAN & LIN), and an introduction to RTOS, ending with a practical graduation project.

During my summer internship at the Dell Summer Academy, I participated in a comprehensive program that introduced us to the wide range of roles at Dell Technologies, including sales, presales, technical support, and professional services. We engaged in in-depth sessions on software engineering roles, design thinking, and project planning through interactive workshops. The program also emphasized professional development, with soft skills training on CV writing, presentation skills, emotional intelligence, personal branding, and interview preparation. Additionally, we toured the Data Center at the COE in New Cairo and shadowed employees to gain firsthand insight into their day-to-day responsibilities.

A six-week hybrid internship at BARQ Systems focused on hands-on training in DevOps tools and practices. The schedule alternated between online and onsite days, with Saturdays off. Participants gained practical experience in Linux system administration, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform, developing skills in containerization, orchestration, automation, and infrastructure as code. The program was led by three instructors who provided technical depth, industry insights, and guidance on career paths within DevOps. Overall, the internship offered valuable exposure to modern workflows and infrastructure management.

Students gained practical experience in software design principles and data management, learning how to structure applications using OOP concepts while also building and working with databases to support real-world solutions.

Students gained hands-on experience in designing and executing test cases, validating functionality, and ensuring software quality. The program emphasized practical exposure to automated testing workflows and the role of quality assurance in modern software development.

An AI engineering internship with a strong focus on natural language processing (NLP). Students worked with Python, LangChain, and Hugging Face to build and experiment with AI pipelines, while also assisting in stages from testing to deployment. The program provided exposure to large language model (LLM) integration, API testing, and deployment practices, supported by mentorship from senior engineers. Overall, the internship offered valuable hands-on experience in modern AI development and engineering workflows.

A data science internship that introduced students to both backend and frontend aspects of the field. Participants gained experience in data analysis and visualization, while also building simple interfaces to present their results. The program included collaboration with peers and supervisors through shadowing opportunities, and concluded with a final project that integrated all the skills learned during the training.

A web development internship where students designed and built a website to support delivery tracking operations. The program provided practical experience in developing functional web applications, applying technical skills to solve real business challenges, and improving logistics efficiency through digital solutions.

An internship focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM), where students gained practical experience in customer relationship management solutions. The program introduced participants to CRM customization, data handling, and business process automation, providing valuable insights into enterprise systems and digital transformation practices.
