Definitions, objectives and scope of application
Article 1:
Definitions: -
- This regulation is called (Student Behavior Regulations) and includes the principles and rules that the student must adhere to, as well as the penalties that are imposed on the student if he commits any of the behavioral violations.
- The following words and expressions - as mentioned in this bylaw - have the meanings indicated opposite each of them, unless otherwise stated.
The Academy: The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
Student: He / she enrolled in the Academy for study or any of the educational, training or rehabilitating programs offered by the Academy or any of the parties dealing with the Academy.
Violation: Every statement or behavior committed by the student is considered contrary to the rules, regulations and instructions of the Academy and violates its system, public morals, the proper functioning of the educational or training process, the work of the examinations, or anything that exposes the interest of others, including students, workers, and faculty members to danger, harm or harm of any kind. And in general, every deviation from the student’s duties or its requirements.
Punishment: Every disciplinary penalty stipulated exclusively in these regulations.
Student Affairs Committee: The committee formed and charged with examining students ’violations and imposing the appropriate disciplinary penalty.
The investigator: He is responsible for conducting the investigation with the student in the event that he commits any of the behavioral violations.
Student Affairs Committee Reporter: Responsible for preparing the minutes and agenda of the Student Affairs Committee and informing students and their parents of the decisions of the Student Affairs Committee.

Regulation objectives: -
1. Maintaining the correct behavior of students and ensuring the continuation of character development.
2. Refining students who violate the law and treating their behavior with sound educational methods.
3. Control the behavior of students within the academy to advance them in their society.
4. Ensuring the quality of the educational process and its supporting activities at the Academy.
5. Evaluating the behavior of violating students in breaching the rules and regulations of the Academy and the traditions and public morals.
6. Limiting student violations by achieving private and public deterrence.
7. Preserving the material and qualitative value of the Academy as an educational institution.
8. Preserving the reputation of the Academy as one of the specialized Arab organizations affiliated with the League of Arab States.
Article Three:
This regulation applies to all students of the Academy who are registered to study in the first university degree and postgraduate studies, and everyone who joins the Academy in any educational, training or qualifying program of the Academy’s programs or the programs of the agencies dealing with it, and all of them are subject, throughout their enrollment period, to the provisions set forth in the articles of these regulations, with the status Taking into account the application of the discipline regulations on students of the College of Maritime Transport and Technology due to the nature of their studies.
Article Four:
The regulations are published on the Academy’s page and announce it to students with all the applicable and recognized means of advertising in the Academy. The student may not invoke ignorance or lack of knowledge of this bylaw, the rules and regulations of the Academy, its enforceable decisions, and the instructions issued by the Academy based on the legal rule (no one is excused for his ignorance of the law. ).
Fifth Article:
In the event of any violation by the student, a report shall be drawn up on the incident and its perpetrator, and then the report is submitted to the Master / Dean of Student Affairs who assigns the investigator to investigate that incident.
Article Six:
The Student Affairs Committee is formed by a decision of the President of the Academy, headed by the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and the membership of each of the Messrs: Assistant President of the Academy for Student Affairs - Dean of Student Affairs - Assistant Dean of Student Affairs - Vice-Agents for Student Affairs - Representative of African and Asian Affairs - Dean of Admission and Registration - A representative of the Legal Affairs Department as a consultant - Student Affairs Committee rapporteur, and the committee may invite what it deems necessary to attend, and the committee undertakes to examine the violations committed by the student after the end of the investigations with him and give him a full opportunity to express his defenses and defense, and it is proven that the violation has been committed. Committed in accordance with the penalties stipulated in the same bylaw, exclusively, and its decision is made by the majority of the votes present, and a report on its work is submitted and presented to the Chancellor of the Academy for Legal Affairs, and the committee’s decisions are not final unless approved by the President of the Academy.
Article Seven:
The student has the right to file a grievance against the penalty imposed on him within 30 days from the date of his knowledge of the penalty, and the grievance is submitted to the Dean of Student Affairs, who submits it to the committee to take a decision in his regard, and its decision is not final except after approval by the President of the Academy. But in the event that new facts and essential developments are revealed, the student submits a request to reconsider the President of the Academy and he may seek the opinion of whomever sees his opinion in this regard, and the decision shall not be final except after approval by the President of the Academy.
Article Eight:
The student who is referred for investigation by the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs or the Deanship of Student Affairs shall be notified of a maximum of two investigation sessions, and the student who is referred for investigation may be suspended from studying until he appears for investigation. This is considered as an acknowledgment by him of the validity of the violations attributed to him, and it is presented to the Student Affairs Committee for appropriate disciplinary punishment.
Article 9:
According to these regulations, a student who commits a violation may not withdraw or be evicted from the academy.
