In light of the directives from Dr. Reda Hegazy, the Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Mr. Mohamed El-Sherif, the Governor of Alexandria, to intensify field monitoring of the educational process, Dr. Araby Abouzeid, the Director of the Directorate of Education, visited the International School at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. The visit was attended by Dr. Ahmed Ali, the Assistant President of the Academy, Mrs. Magda Samargia, the Advisor to the President of the Academy for International Education Programs, Amira Gabr, the Director of Special Education, and Mr. Mohamed Hassanein, the Director of Student Affairs.
The Directorate Director emphasized the activation of the twinning with the Academy in coordination with Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdelghaffar, the President of the Academy, in the areas of community participation, technological development, and training programs, in line with the social and educational responsibility of the Academy. He praised the fruitful cooperation with the Alexandria Education Directorate.
Abouzeid inspected several classrooms, computer labs, network labs, and science labs, as well as the school library, which focuses on research and knowledge in both paper and digital formats. He commended the implementation of the 'Go Green' initiative, including awareness seminars, organizing art exhibitions, and displaying informative posters for students to raise awareness about the risks of pollution, environmental conservation, and water consumption reduction to mitigate climate change threats to Earth's life
