"Sanitation" in Alexandria and "Arab Academy" are exploring cooperation.

Major Mahmoud Nafea, President of the Sanitary Drainage Company in Alexandria, paid an official visit to Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, aiming to discuss avenues of cooperation between the two entities in the fields of laboratories, scientific and technical training, and support for research units at the Sanitary Drainage Company in Alexandria, as well as governmental excellence.

Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar praised the role of the Sanitary Drainage Company in Alexandria in handling crises and rainwater, and in improving performance over recent years, as well as their significant cooperation in supporting the company to achieve its vision and sustain its services.

Dr. Abdel Ghaffar emphasized the importance of implementing the recommendations of the conference "Sustainability of the National Industry in Water and Sanitation," held in February of this year. The conference aims to support and develop the national industry and services in this field, discuss Egyptian and European technological and industrial solutions that can be localized, and provide effective solutions to pollution problems resulting from industrial drainage, as well as discuss the challenges facing the water and sanitation services sector.

Major Mahmoud Nafea expressed the Sanitary Drainage Company in Alexandria's desire to enhance cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, considering it a center of national knowledge and experience, and for its commitment to staying abreast of the latest scientific and technological developments globally, and providing educational and training services to prepare distinguished cadres that support the quality of services provided to citizens.

He stressed the importance of adopting a culture of institutional excellence and applying the best global practices in governmental performance, updating processes and systems using smart technologies to implement future visions and strategies.

He also highlighted the importance of scientific research in improving performance and localizing modern technologies, reducing investment costs for project implementation, as well as researching the best ways to address sewage issues and finding realistic solutions to the challenges facing operations.

President of the Sanitary Drainage Company in Alexandria expressed deep gratitude for the warm reception and looked forward to achieving positive outcomes from the collaboration.
