Description

The course includes an overview of the mechanisms of drug-induced toxicity is provided. signs and symptoms of toxicity of commonly used drugs, environmental pollutants, food-additives, household chemicals are discussed together with the proper management whether by supportive measures or with specific antidotes. Students are also introduced to the design and interpretation of pre-clinical toxicity screening tests required for approval of drug use in humans.
