About Robotak Initiative

The Robotak initiative is a collaboration between the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport. In terms of coverage, this initiative is national in scope. Goals include empowering young people between the ages of 7 and 17 with 21st century skills and teaching them to code and programme robots.

It all started in early 2020, during the height of the corona epidemic. A combination of online and offline methods are used to provide the project's services. The online materials are made available via the YouTube channel of the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports and the project's official Facebook page. There are both previously recorded and live sessions available online.

The offline material is delivered in the form of all-day, hands-on boot camps. Every camp is a four-day experience. Six such camps have been set up in the towns of tenth of Ramadan, Aswan, Beni Suef, el Arish, and Alexandria.
