Egypt Foundation for Integrated Development (El Nidaa) was established in 2016 as a non-profit foundation to operate in parallel to the Egypt Network for Integrated Development (ENID) initiative to ensure the sustainability and continuity of its interventions. ENID was conceived as a comprehensive five-year initiative that started in April 2012 as an output under a project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with Egypt’s Ministry of International Cooperation. It was extended into a second five-year period (2017-2021), and more recently a third five-year period (2022-2026) ensuring that the project continued to build on its best practice models and success stories.
