His Excellency, Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, met with the students and faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Technology - Heliopols Branch. A team of mechanical engineering students along with their professors had participated in the scientific week of the Military Technical College, where their research paper titled "Experimental Performance of a Solar-Driven Humidification Dehumidification Desalination Unit" won the award for Best Research Paper. Additionally, a project titled "Warehouse Inspection Robot" was nominated for the Best Industrial Prototype Award, and a project titled "Developing an Exoskeleton Robot for the Arm" was selected among the best presented projects.
The students were accompanied by Professor Dr. Yasser Galal, Dean of College of Engineering - Heliopolis branch, Professor Dr. Samah Shaaban, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Essam El-Gendy and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Latif.
The participating mechanical engineering students were: Omar Ahmed Reda, Omar Mohamed El-Zalatt, Hussein Ashraf, Rania Osama, Abdelrahman Tarek, and Omar Farid.
