The 2025 7th International Youth Conference on Radio Electronics, Electrical and Power Engineering (IEEE 7th REEPE 2025) was successfully held from 8-11 April in the College of Engineering AASTMT, Heliopolis branch. The event was concurrently hosted across three venues: the College of Engineering & Technology at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport(AASTMT) in Cairo, Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) in Russia, and the College of Engineering at the AUS of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
The conference covered a wide range of fields of interest, including electrical power and energy engineering, signal processing, computer engineering, nuclear engineering, and mechanical engineering, among others. This international scientific event, brought together specialized engineers, industrial experts, and academic researchers. The conference served as a platform to discuss the latest advancements in radio electronics, electrical and power engineering, and aimed to foster networking opportunities.
The opening session of the conference held at AASTMT began with an opening remark by His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail, President of the Academy, who emphasized on the importance of such events for interdisciplinary exchange for the research community. Keynote speeches were delievered by Professor Dr.Loay Nasratt, President of Aswan University, Professor Dr. Yasser Saqr, former President of Helwan University and current President of Coventry University, Professor Dr. Ahmed Madian, IEEE Chair in the Arab Republic of Egypt and Professor Dr. Yousry El-Gamal, the former Minister of Education.
The conference is considered one of the most important international scientific conferences specializing in the field of electrical power and electronics. It featured discussions on 382 research papers submitted from various countries, with these discussions taking place across five different countries participating in the event.
The conference concluded by summarizing key themes and promising ideas as well as recognition for selected high-quality papers which were chosen for publication in prestigious periodicals such as IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications or IEEE Industry Applications.
