College student

You can participate in all the following contests

1-    ECPC

The Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC) is qualifying round for the Africa & Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC), ECPC is organized in the same spirit and is governed by all applicable rules of the ICPC.

2-    ROV

MATE Egypt ROV competition is an annual regional competition held in the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) for the interested undergrads in the remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV). As the ROVs perform specific underwater missions according to the rules and the competition guidelines. The competition was firstly launched in 2011 by Delta Square International LLC in association with AASTMT.

3- Underwater Robotics Challenges

The Underwater Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Challenges (UWRChallenges) are a series of annual competitions that take place in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The challenges are powered by the Underwater Robotics Technologies Center (URTC), a research center at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT).

The UWRChallenges are designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of underwater robotics and AI. The competitions are open to students, researchers, and professionals from all over the world.

The challenges are divided into three categories:

  • Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) Challenge: This challenge tasks participants to design and build an AUV that can complete a series of missions in an underwater environment.
  • Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Challenge: This challenge tasks participants to design and build an ROV that can complete a series of tasks in an underwater environment, such as collecting objects and repairing structures.
  • SeaPerch MENA Challenge: This challenge is for elementary, middle, and high school students. Participants build a simple ROV from PVC pipe and other readily available materials.

The UWRChallenges are a valuable opportunity for participants to learn about underwater robotics and AI, gain hands-on experience, and compete against other talented individuals and teams. The challenges also help to raise awareness of underwater robotics and AI in the MENA region and promote the development of these technologies.

In addition to the competitions, the UWRChallenges also feature workshops, tutorials, and networking events. These events provide participants with the opportunity to learn from experts in the field, collaborate with other professionals, and explore career opportunities in underwater robotics and AI.

The UWRChallenges are a valuable asset to the MENA region's underwater robotics and AI community. The challenges are helping to train and develop the next generation of underwater roboticists and AI engineers, and they are promoting the development of these technologies in the region.
