The Deanship of Student Affairs organized a visit for students from Mansoura National University to the Academy as part of the summer camp in Alexandria | July 24-30, 2026

The Cultural and Social Activities Department in Abu Qir organized a visit for students from Mansoura National University to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, at its main campus in Abu Qir, Alexandria, as part of the summer camp activities organized by the Academy during the period from 24 to 30 July 2026. This reflects the Academy’s keenness to enhance communication and partnership with educational institutions, and to provide educational, cultural and sports experiences that contribute to refining students’ skills and developing their ability to communicate and interact with their peers from different universities. The visit began with a reception by His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, for Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, President of Mansoura National University. Also present were Professor Dr. Yasser El-Sonbaty, Vice President of the Academy for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohanna, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs; and several Mansoura National University officials accompanying the students. The meeting included an exchange of greetings and commemorative gifts. The visit featured a diverse program of cultural, sporting, and recreational activities both within and outside the Academy. This included a visit to the Academy's branch in El Alamein on July 26, 2026, to attend the Human Medicine Conference. The students also toured the branch to learn about the educational facilities available in the Faculties of Engineering and Human Medicine, including classrooms and specialized laboratories. The program also included tours of some of Alexandria's most prominent landmarks, such as the Library of Alexandria, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the Alexandria Aquarium, giving the students an opportunity to explore the city's cultural, historical, and tourist attractions during their stay. At the academy, students benefited from the various facilities and services available, through hotel accommodation, use of restaurants, playgrounds, gym and swimming pool, in addition to a number of recreational activities and games, as well as watching documentaries in the planetarium. This visit comes within the framework of the interest of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, in strengthening ties of communication and partnership with similar educational institutions, which contributes to refining students’ skills, expanding their horizons, and developing their ability to communicate with their peers from different universities, in support of building a balanced and qualified generation capable of contributing effectively to serving society.

The 10th session of the Arab Summer Training Camp for University Youth concluded at the College of Maritime Transport and Technology with a pioneering training experience that embodied the success of a decade of strategic partnership in preparing and qualifying young Arab leaders, and reinforced the Arab Academy's position as a beacon of education and training at the regional level – Tuesday, July 28, 2026

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, at its College of Maritime Transport and Technology on its main campus in Abu Qir, concluded the 10th session of the Arab Summer Training Camp for University Youth, held from July 25 to 28, 2026. The camp was organized in cooperation with the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, with the participation of 65 trainees representing several Arab countries. This initiative falls within the framework of the ongoing strategic partnership between the two institutions to support Arab youth and develop future leaders. The camp was held under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and with the support of His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Saleh Al-Ajeeri, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, reaffirming both institutions' commitment to investing in the development of young Arab talent and strengthening joint Arab cooperation. The camp was held under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Rashid, Assistant President of the Academy for Arab Affairs, and Dr. Alia Munir, Head of the Administrative Follow-up Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs. It included a comprehensive training and academic program aimed at developing the leadership and knowledge skills of the participants and enhancing cultural exchange among Arab university students. The final day featured a series of specialized lectures, beginning with a presentation by Professor Dr. Amr Magdy El-Helou, Dean of the Center for Agreements and International Relations, entitled "The Academy's Pioneering Experience in International Education in the Arab Region and the Most Important Local and International Educational Programs." In his lecture, Professor El-Helou reviewed the Academy's journey in international education, highlighting its most prominent academic programs and global partnerships that have established it as one of the leading educational institutions in the region. Dr. Abeer Farouk Murad, Director of Corporate Communications, also presented a lecture entitled "The Foundations of Dealing with Cultural Diversity and Multinationalities in Light of International Etiquette and Protocol." Her lecture addressed the importance of building multicultural work environments, professional communication skills, and the application of international etiquette and protocol to foster institutional cooperation and innovation. As part of highlighting the Academy's leading role in maritime education and training, Dr. Captain Mohi El-Din Mohamed El-Sayeh, Dean of the College of Maritime Transport and Technology, delivered a lecture entitled "The Academy's Pioneering Experience in Maritime Education and Training and Training of College of Maritime Transport and Technology Students on the Latest Models of Giant Ships and Modern Navigation Equipment." During the lecture, he reviewed the advanced training capabilities offered by the College, its state-of-the-art simulators and navigation equipment, as well as its international accreditations and cooperation agreements with leading international maritime institutions and universities.The camp concluded with a field trip to the College of Maritime Transport and Technology, including a visit to the planetarium and the simulator complex. Participants were introduced to the latest maritime training systems and advanced educational technologies, reflecting the Academy's distinguished capabilities in preparing qualified Arab personnel according to the highest international standards. The organization of this course culminates ten years of successful strategic partnership between the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and the League of Arab States, and embodies the mission of the Deanship of Student Affairs to support activities and programs that contribute to building the leadership skills of Arab youth and strengthening the values ​​of cooperation and integration among the people of the Arab world.

The opening remarks emphasized that the tenth session marks a significant milestone in the cooperation between the Academy and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States. Since its launch in 2016, the program has successfully prepared and trained hundreds of young Arabs, strengthening their ties to institutions of joint Arab action, and has become one of the most prominent Arab models of institutional cooperation in the field of human development. The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States commended the pioneering role of the Arab Academy, under the leadership of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, affirming that it has become a distinguished model in the fields of education, training, scientific research, and international accreditation. The Academy serves as the scientific and technical arm of the League of Arab States and actively contributes to supporting the system of joint Arab action. The camp program includes a series of scientific lectures and specialized workshops showcasing the system of joint Arab action, the Academy's experience in international education, student activities, and maritime education and training, as well as introducing participants to the latest trends in artificial intelligence and intercultural communication. The program also includes scientific visits to the planetarium and maritime transport simulators. A visit to the Academy's branch in New Alamein City is also part of the program, featuring a specialized workshop on artificial intelligence applications with the participation of leading experts, in addition to a field tour to learn about the pioneering development experience underway in the city. On the cultural and civilizational front, the program includes visits to prominent historical and cultural landmarks in Alexandria, including the Library of Alexandria, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the Royal Jewelry Museum, along with organized sports and cultural activities that contribute to strengthening communication and integration among the youth of the Arab world.The tenth session of the Summer Training Camp for Arab University Youth embodies the continuation of the fruitful institutional partnership between the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States. It also confirms the commitment of the Deanship of Student Affairs to support initiatives that contribute to preparing a conscious and qualified Arab generation, capable of keeping pace with global developments, and promoting the values ​​of Arab cooperation and integration, in line with the Academy’s vision of investing in human beings and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Launching the Arab Universities Youth Camp in Alexandria.. The Arab Academy and the Arab League together towards a promising generation – September 4, 2025

On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the ninth session of the Arab University Youth Camp started at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, under the patronage of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and hosted by the academy. The opening featured a speech by the academy's president delivered by Professor Mohamed Abu al-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, in which he emphasized the importance of Arab cooperation and the role of the academy as the scientific and technical arm of the Arab League, praising its progress in international rankings for the year 2025. The speeches also reviewed the role of the academy in supporting scientific research and organizing the first Arab forum on artificial intelligence, in addition to praising student, cultural, and sports activities. The camp's program includes scientific lectures in the fields of artificial intelligence, transport, and logistics, along with training and cultural visits to explore the landmarks of Alexandria.

In an atmosphere of enthusiasm and interaction, the summer training camp organized by the League of Arab States kicked off at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria. The camp brings together Arab students from various countries for a unique educational and training experience.
The camp opened on the first day with an inspiring welcome speech by Professor Dr. Mohamed Aboul-Ezm, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of this program in promoting the spirit of joint Arab action and developing the professional and cultural skills of youth.
On the second day, the camp witnessed a distinguished presence of senior academics. Professor Dr. Alaa Abdel-Bari delivered a keynote lecture, highlighting the university's role in supporting Arab youth and the promising career paths ahead. The day also witnessed other important meetings and lectures presented by Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalifa, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Abu Al-Faraj. They discussed various training topics aimed at honing students' skills and developing their professional capabilities. These included cultural workshops, experience-sharing events, and introductory sessions on the work of the League of Arab States and its various departments, in addition to practical training in departments of the League's General Secretariat. The program is completely free and includes accommodation and training. It targets university students in their second and third years from various Arab countries. The camp provides a unique opportunity for students to gain real-world practical experience and enhance their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills under the supervision of specialized academics and administrators from within the League of Arab States and the Academy.

- A team of academy students won third place in the Creativity Competition for Scientific Innovations.

- A team of academy students won second place in the FORMULA competition, which was held in Italy from 11-17 July 2023, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs.
- A team of the Academy students won third place in the (ROV) competition, which was held in the United States of America at the end of June 2023, with the participation of 63 teams from different countries of the world. They were honored by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sobhi - Minister of Youth and Sports, His Excellency Major General / Mohamed El Sharif - Governor of Alexandria, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Academy, on the sidelines of the opening of the World Modern Pentathlon Championship during the period from 10 to 17 July 2023. The academy approved and the academy hosted this tournament for the fifth time in a row, and this year it was for youth under 17 years old.
In the end, he indicated that during this program there will be many different activities and visits with the full support of the Academy family.
