In a distinguished international sporting atmosphere, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) hosted the U15 World Modern Pentathlon Championships (UIPM) at the Academy's headquarters from August 13 to 17, 2025.
The championship witnessed wide participation from national teams and sports delegations from around the world. Players competed in various competitions amidst high-level organization and the comprehensive capabilities provided by the Academy to ensure the success of this global event. Visitors and participating delegations expressed their great appreciation for the professionalism in the organization and warm welcome they witnessed, praising the Academy's ability to host major sporting events, reflecting its leading position regionally and internationally. For their part, officials from the Deanship of Student Affairs emphasized that hosting the championship represents an important addition to the Academy's record of achievements and an opportunity to promote the values of sports and cooperation among youth from different cultures, as well as highlighting the Academy's role in supporting student activities and international events.

The 2025 International Shooting Federation Women's Relay World Championships will be held at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, Egypt, from July 8 to 13, 2025.
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria is preparing to host the 2025 International Shooting and Archery Federation (UIPM) Women's Relay World Championships, from July 8 to 13, 2025, with widespread participation expected from women's teams from around the world.
The championship falls within the framework of the International Federation's approved agenda and will see the participation of between 20 and 30 women's teams from various continents. Each team consists of two female athletes competing in the modern pentathlon relay system. The race includes three main sports: swimming, fencing, and laser run (running and laser shooting), which alternate between the two athletes throughout the competition.
The upcoming edition will witness the participation of an elite group of international female athletes, including continental and Olympic champions, along with young talent from emerging national teams, providing a strong competitive diversity. Hosting the tournament at the Academy's headquarters in Alexandria reflects Egypt's growing capacity to host international sporting events in state-of-the-art facilities and highlights the Academy's pioneering role in supporting the sports movement locally and internationally.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), the Academy will host the 2025 Modern Pentathlon Final: a historic milestone that will witness the first application of the "obstacle" system instead of equestrianism at its headquarters in Abu Qir, Alexandria, from July 4 to 6, 2025.
In a new achievement to be added to its impressive record, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) hosted the 2025 Modern Pentathlon World Cup Final and World Relay Championships at its headquarters in Abu Qir, Alexandria, from July 4 to 6, with the participation of champions from 30 countries. This is the first edition to be officially held using the "obstacle course" system instead of the equestrian system after the 2024 Paris Olympics. The event received widespread international acclaim, most notably from the President of the International Modern Pentathlon Union, Mr. Robert Stoll, who described the Academy as a global model for organizing major sporting championships.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi pointed out that the remarkable achievements and results achieved at all levels are thanks to the unlimited support provided by the political leadership to all teams and national teams, which has made Egyptian sports achieve an unprecedented progress and status on a continental and global level.
Sobhi thanked and appreciated all those organizing the tournament, led by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation, praising their distinguished efforts to produce the tournament in the best possible way.

The Arab Academy embraces the world in the wedding of modern pentathlon. 42 countries compete on the Academy’s courts in the World Championship for Modern Pentathlon. The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Abu Qir is hosting the World Junior Championship for Modern Pentathlon in the period from 25 to 30 June.
The tournament has participation from 42 countries: Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Canada, Chile, China, Taiwan, Côte d'Ivoire, the Czech Republic, France, Gambia, Ghana, Georgia, Germany, Britain, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Lithuania, Mali, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, America, and neutral players from two countries, in addition to Egypt, the organizing country.
170 male and female players, including 96 male and female players, and 109 coaches and administrators, are also participating in the tournament. 31 International Federation officials and dignitaries are also attending the tournament, bringing the total number of tournament guests, including players, coaches, administrators and officials, to 310 individuals.

The Naval Academy of Science and Technology organized the U-17 World Youth Championship in Qir, Alexandria, under the auspices of Prof. Dr./ President of the Academy and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, from 12 to 16 July 2023.
Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar expressed his happiness with the constant cooperation between the Academy and the Pentagram Union, as the Academy in Alexandria hosted many championships, the latest of which was the World Championship for Adults, which received international acclaim.
For his part, Engineer Sherif El-Erian stressed that the Academy is a key partner in the success of hosting the International Pentathlon Federation for world championships, explaining that the World Championship for adults, which was held at the Academy’s stadiums in Alexandria, won the award for the best promotional tournament for the year 2022 from the International Federation of Modern Pentathlon.
The Modern Pentathlon World Cup is currently being held from March 7-12 at the American University in Cairo.
More than 150 modern pentathlon athletes from 35 countries are participating in the tournament, to participate in the inaugural tournament of the World Cup series, which is the beginning of arriving in Ankara, Turkey, in early June, where the final of the World Cup series for the current year, and then to the final destination next year, which is the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The importance of the championship lies in the points that the champions will collect during that series and until the summer of 2024 on the road to the dream of competing in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
