The event, held in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, celebrated the start of the new academic year. The renowned singer Mohamed Hamaki performed a selection of his most popular songs, much to the delight of the students. His performance was one of the highlights of the evening, adding a touch of joy and energy to the event. The US Embassy in Cairo, in cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport at its headquarters in Abu Qir - Alexandria, organized a concert by Beatbox House Band and Sharmoofers with the aim of promoting cultural and diplomatic exchange through music on May 4, 2024.
The ceremony began with a distinguished and enthusiastic performance by the famous Beatbox House musical group, which received great interaction from the audience. The Sharmoofers team also shined during the ceremony, presenting a group of its distinctive songs, which the audience interacted with.
The Cultural Attaché at the US Embassy in Cairo, Irene Tariot, said that music is a language that brings together and unites the peoples of the world, and that the American Music Abroad (AMA) program of the US State Department aims to enhance cultural and diplomatic exchange through music.
Tariot thanked the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, headed by Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, for hosting the ceremony, praising the relations with the Academy and saying that it is a place of great standing.
