The Arab Academy for Science and Technology's efforts to fulfill the SDG 17 requirements related to education for SDGs in the wider community are evident through its outreach programs, collaborations, and capacity building initiatives. The Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) has made significant contributions in promoting the learning of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its periodic section for the younger graduate school students in Alexandria, Egypt which started in September 2022. AASTMT recognizes the importance of incorporating the principles of sustainability and global development into the education system. By integrating SDGs into the curriculum, AASTMT provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the pressing challenges faced by our world today. Through the periodic section, AASTMT fosters awareness and knowledge among students regarding the SDGs, enabling them to become agents of change and contribute to the sustainable development of their communities. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag – President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) participated in the activities of the Fourth Edition of the Arab Week for Sustainable Development that was organized by the League of Arab States, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Egypt, the United Nations, the European Union and the World Bank, during the period from 13 - 15 February 2022, under the theme "Together for Sustainable Recovery", as to probe ways of alleviating repercussions and negative impacts of coronavirus to help achieve sustainable development goals in Arab countries.
