AASTMT organizes plenty of Trainings, Workshops, Seminars and Visits for their staff, students and graduates towards Green Energy Sustainability. Graduates, industry representitives and professionals are invited in such activities which reflects AASTMT role in serving the community and industry within the fields of renewable energy and clean environment.
An online session was given, for College of Engineering students, graduates and staff as well as professionals, about Volvo Group’s roadmap toward the electrification of commercial vehicles (trucks, buses, construction equipment, and marine propulsion)— targeting 30% Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) sales by 2030 and achieving completely fossil-free operations by 2040.
The speaker is Eng. Mohamed Sharaf — Technical Support Manager, Volvo Buses UK & Ireland and one of AAST- Electrical and control Eng. Dept. graduates.

Solar Energy Training for Sudanese Students
A solar energy training was organised by AASTMT Industrial Service Complex in collaboration with Caritas Egypt for Refugee trainees from Sudan in the field of solar energy.

The Hydrogen Horizon Egypt Path to Greneer Energy in Oil and Gas Workshop hosted by ASSTMT-college of Eng. – Abukir branch to connect students with industry and tackle the needs of international transition to clean energy.

AASTMT Chemicalal and Petrochemical Eng. and Marine Eng. Departments organised a visit for its stidents to the Egypt Energy show (EGYPES) Exhibition at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo.
AASTMT’s El Alamein campus hosted a symposium in collaboration with the Dabaa Nuclear Energy Agency and the Russian Cultural Center, focusing on nuclear energy cooperation and sustainability.

Egypt Energy Transition Workshop
AASTMT organized a workshop titled: “Towards Egypt’s Energy Vision 2030: Egypt’s Just Energy Transition" which was attended by faculty members from Egyptian universities, industry figures, and governmental bodies. AASTMT Electrical and Control Eng. Dept. as well as AASTMT Mechanical Eng. Dept, organized a joint technical student Visit to Egypt Energy & Firex 2024 Exhibition.

Innovations in energy” Symposium-2024
Energy and Petroleum Logistics Management Department, College of International Transport and Logistics, hosted, Dr. Walid Al-Khadrawi, an expert in the field of hydrogen energy sustainability in the oil and gas sector in Egypt, to present a scientific symposium entitled “Moving towards the future: Innovations in energy”. He shared valuable insights about the latest developments in energy and sustainability technology, and the future role of renewable energy in shaping the industrial and service future.

The Department of Marine and Platform Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology was pleased to organize the international workshop, ”Green Hydrogen Applications in the Maritime Industry”, through collaboration with the University of Genova and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership.

AASTMT Port Training Institute-Green Economy in Ports Workshop
Collaborative Work shop between AASTMT Port Training institute and The British University in Egypt brough together al staff members and participants fromm different Egyptian ports to dicuss sustainability in ports

A 6-day bootcamp was organised at the AASTMT, as an outcome to Uni-Green Projects. In this workshop, participants will learn how to find innovative solutions to mitigate climate change effects locally and turn their ideas into business.

HOMER Pro-Renewable Energy Software
The Department of Marine and Platform Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology announced the holding of a free seminar for graduate students under the title: “Energy Management Strategies for Marine Application: HOMER Pro Renewable Energy Software”
It will be delivered by engineer Mayar Nabil Renewable energy and water desalination consultant at the Desert Research Center (Applied Research Center).

A visit to Siemens Energy (30 Nov. 2023)
Students from the Faculty of Engineering & Technology went on a scientific trip to the Siemens Energy headquarters in Ain Sokhna to link theoretical education with practical/industrial experience, and to better connect graduates with the labour market

Egypt-Germany Workshop in AASTMT
AASTMT Postgraduate Studies Institute hosted a collaborative Egypt-Germany workshop on meteorology and environmental science at its Abu Qir campus. The event brought together students and professors from Freie Universität Berlin and was supported by DAAD.

Presented by Dr. Shaohong Zhu, Electric Machine Engineer in Accelera by Cummins, United Kingdom. This free seminar is prepared for AASTMT graduate students, final year students, and all those interested in the field of motors in electric vehicles towards green and clean energy .

AASTMT is hosting Engineer Jalal Salama (Senior Manufacturing Controls Engineer at Tesla, Texas USA and a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Academy’s main headquarters in Abu Qir) who will tell us about their experience at Tesla and how to apply for summer training in Tesla US.

In light of the continuous cooperation between AAST Industry Service Complex (ISC) and TCI Sanmar, free training scholarship for 90 trainees in Port Said Governorate are carried out at ISC. The training included fields of hydraulics fundamentals, electric and electronic maintenance at factories as well as PVs’ fundamentals and renewable energy.

This free workshop was implemented within the framework of cooperation between the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and the University of Texas to faculty members and graduate students.

Sustainable Steam Systems Workshop
The IEEE team - in the College of Engineering and Technology – in AAST Headquarter-mAbukir-organized a Workshop under the name “Sustainable Steam Systems Unleashed: Feeding a Greener Future with Oxygen”.

This is a joint workshop which is organized by AAST college of Engineering and Technology- Headquarter- in cooperation with the research team of the University of Twente in the Netherlands and ABB Electrical Industries.
Electrical Energy Efficiency Workshop

The Departments of Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at AAST - Headquarter, in partnership with the international company Bright Skies, are organizing a workshop on Eco-friendly Electric Vehicles (EV), presented by Engineer Ali Abu Al-Oyoun who is Electric Vehicles (EV) Team Leader at Bright Skies.

AASTMT Department of Marine Engineering and Platforms Engineering organized a workshop entitled “Marine Renewable Energy” Delivered by Professor Dr. Mustafa Abdel Jalil, Head of the Energy Research Unit, in addition to practical training on the solar energy unit and the wind energy unit.

The Department of Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering organized a workshop entitled:
"Green Environment" delivered by Professor Dr. Ibrahim Hassan - Head of the Department of Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering - College of Engineering and Technology. Several important topics were discussed about the green environment and clean energy, such as processes for producing green hydrogen and green ammonia, and methods for treating and recycling unsustainable waste.

AASTMT College of Engineering and Technology is hosting the Climate Change Resilience event organized by the IEEE-HKN Mu Beta Honor Society chapter. The event includes lectures and a solid-works workshop by professionals.
