Program Description

Marketing is the art and science of finding out what people want and thus, being able to create, optimize and promote products and services to sell to a target market. In offering a Marketing major, the department is committed to enabling the students to explore the process that begins with creating a product or service and ends with putting it into consumers'' hands. This major includes courses like marketing research, advertising, sales promotion, and international marketing. Further to that, we are dedicated to bringing real hands-on experience and market exposure through a variety of projects, events, field visits, and seminars. The marketing degree is designed to give a student a solid foundation in business leadership and proper exposure to current trends in the world of marketing. Marketing has always been a challenging and creative business discipline. As a backbone of most successful multinational and global corporations. The marketing department presents new challenges to the business and academic world in terms of both theory and practice. The globalization of business has opened up new markets and has altered the nature of competition. The world is becoming a global village and needs for a better understanding of international business practices, policies, and strategies is indispensable. Accordingly, the College of Management and Technology has decided to establish. The Department of Marketing focuses on the marketing students' needs, introduce new majors with an international/ global perspective, and faces new challenges in the Egyptian business environment.

Learning Outcomes

  • Marketing Learning Programs: PLO'S 1. Acquire Knowledge and understanding regarding major concepts, theories, and contemporary issues in the Business Administration/ Marketing context. 2. Analyze, interpret, and apply theories in real Business Administration/ Marketing context. 3. Use scientific models in problem-solving. 4. Effectively communicate, work in teams, and present their findings effectively.

  • There have been lately drastic changes in the economic, technological, political, and cultural structure of the Egyptian business market introducing new job opportunities and challenges. The department of Marketing provides a more contemporary set of skills, hands-on experience, and appropriate knowledge for its students to meet those flourishing career opportunities and job market demands. Career opportunities for Marketing Department include Public Relations Manager, Promotions Assistant, Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Specialist, Customer Services, Marketing Consultant, Product/Brand Manager, Buying Agent, Broker, Marketing Research Analyst, Customer Service Representative, and International Trade Specialist.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduate admissions: Candidates can join the desired specialization directly if he/she satisfies the terms below without waiting for the results of the admission classification process Thanawiya Amma (Egyptian Secondary Education) Thanawiya Amma or Equivalent high school certificates. Passing the entry exams held by the Academy. (An Interview for Hotel Administration and Tourism candidates) Satisfying age and military service conditions for Egyptian applicants Obtaining the grades required by each specialization is as follows: 65% (Science & Literary Sections Business Administration) 60% (Science & Literary Sections Hotel & Tourism) For IGCSE: Candidates must satisfy the terms required in order to equate Thanawiya Amaa. The qualifying curricula for Business Administration and Hotel & Tourism are as follows: Compulsory Curricula: English Language or English Literature Optional Curricula: 7 Ordinary Subjects of the following Subjects: French Geography History Business Studies Economics Accounting Mathematics Computer Physics Biology Chemistry Other International Certificates: For international equivalent certificates such as American Diploma, International Baccalaureate and German Abitur, admission takes place according to the regulations of the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Universities A Copy of my high school certificate A Copy of the birth date certificate A Copy of the identity card or the passport 4 personal photographs (4X6) Paying application fees Submitting the original certificates in case of admission. Submitted personal photographs and copies are not refunded if admission is not granted.

Being situated at the heart of Smart Village - the business and innovation hub - the chronicle of The College of Management and Technology (CMT) presents a journey to success. Since its establishment back in 2013, The College of Management and Technology has developed into a triumph of an outstanding environment for knowledge, research, innovation, and growth. An environment that is based on the principles of partnership between faculty, staff, and students. This is attributed to the entrepreneurial mindset and direction of the College leadership. Such a direction inspired the creation of pillars that lead to the College’s continuous high-impact development. To date, approximately a total number more than 500 students have graduated, and approximately 127 students are expected to graduate over the next academic year. Today, 2 dual degrees as part of the AAST International Programs are offered on the Smart Village campus. In 2016, the College earned its ISO 9001 certification and it was renewed in 2021..
