Message from the Dean

Welcome to the College of Language and Communication (CLC), Smart Village Campus!I am very happy to welcome you all to our College Website. It gives me great pleasure to lead the College of Language and Communication as I work hand in hand with faculty, staff, and students to bring the College to the forefront in the region. CLC has a well-established environment and state of the art smart premises. In this multinational, educational, and academic environment, students are educated to be exemplary leaders. The College and programs offered are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education. The rigorous four-year undergraduate programs and high-quality education we offer equip students with the knowledge and skills to compete in a rapidly changing world. Our vision is to build the most active academic environment in the region and be a center of excellence in teaching, research, and training. We are here to bridge the gap between diverse viewpoints and critically examine both theory and practice, while seeking innovative ways to approach language, media, and communication locally, regionally, and internationally. Our students are well-acquainted with the global environment and emerge as future leaders through constant knowledge exchange, evaluation, and establishment of critical thinking. We aim to graduate professionals who are competitive, innovative, knowledgeable, and passionate. Graduates of our College have a wide range of employment and career opportunities available to them, including teaching, translation and interpretation, journalism, public relations, advertising, script writing, film and documentary making, photography, and communication media. We provide a warm environment for students from different nationalities and all the necessary tools to accommodate them. We further do our best to provide them with the necessary means to succeed. The partnerships and MOUs that we have made and signed with various well-known international universities allow students to complete part of their core courses/electives overseas to gain better exposure and diverse experiences. This is a time when we need to continue fostering critical dialogue by bringing together different voices to effective and positive change. We invite our graduates to keep in touch with our College and are in the process of establishing a cohesive alumni program and events for our College graduates. We advocate an open door policy and our main objective is to build trust among faculty members and students. We hope that you will visit us on campus to learn more about CLC and the opportunities we offer for education and training, research, service, and collaboration. I invite you to explore our Website to learn more about our programs and learning environment.
