OET Preparation

Introduction:

This course prepares participants for all parts of the OET exam - the Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking modules. It focuses on the skills and techniques required to sit for the test. 

Course Content:

The course material provides candidates with an overview of the OET exam.  It focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to answer the different sections of the exam within the time limit. Candidates are provided with several sample exams throughout the course that are revised by the instructor to give the candidate an estimated score. Also, candidates practice according to their occupation in the speaking and writing sections.

 Objectives:

·         Introduce candidates and familiarize them with the format and content of OET.

·         Equip candidates with effective skills and strategies needed to undertake the OET test with confidence.

·         Provide material for practice in all areas of the test.

 Learning Outcomes:

·         Approaching and locating written and visual information.

·         Skimming, scanning and detailed reading and analysis skills techniques in reading questions and recognizing paragraph structures.

·         Practicing every skill of the exam.

·         Identifying alternative meanings and distracting information.

·         Expanding vocabulary.

·         Organizing and expressing facts.

·         Describing cases.

·         Taking part in discussions and expressing opinions.

·         Practicing the techniques of writing a letter.

·         Learning how to carry on a conversation with a patient in English

 Duration:

The course is covered in 40 hours in group and 30 hours in private.
