Program Description

The BIS department provides its students with knowledge and analytical thinking skills through innovatively designed courses that deliver high quality internship and job placement all over the region. It’s an exciting major because of the art of merging business studies, data science and technology to provide technology solutions for business problems. Students learn the latest hands on skills throughout their study years which are summarized in the end in their fruitful graduation projects designs and implementations.

Learning Outcomes

  • The Business Information Systems (BIS) major promotes students to: • Analyze and model the flow of information through business processes. • Formulate plans for the capture, storage and retrieval of data. • Develop backend programs to support or automate business processes. • Develop front end designs and implementations like websites and information systems to support or automate business processes. • Apply Information systems analysis and design concepts and technologies to support business needs. • Align information systems and services with business strategy and formulate plans for the retrieval and analysis of supporting data. • Document, monitor and assess Information Systems. • Apply project management tools and approaches to IS projects. • Design several interfaces through multimedia software. • Developing and designing Mobile applications
