Blood Donation campaign- Students of College of Pharmacy at AASTMT

Within the framework of the Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport’s efforts to participate in its effective role in achieving sustainable development goals, the students of the Egyptian Federation of Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Academy and affiliated to the International Federation of Pharmacy Students under the supervision of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the headquarters and the Deanship of Student Affairs launched a campaign aimed at consolidating the idea of permanent blood donation to fill the shortage In blood bags in Egypt, achieving self-sufficiency and investing in achieving the quality of human life. Over the past two years, students have educated over 2,000 people on the importance of donating blood with around 500 blood bags collected from eligible donors.
This year, the campaign lasted for three days and included raising awareness of the importance and benefits of donating blood. The campaign took place in both the Abu Qir and Miami campuses, as well as at the Academy`s High School in Miami. Students of all academic levels were very welcome and actively participated in the campaign. This is the role of youth in spreading health awareness in our society.
