Workshop: From Neurons and Neural Networks to Ethics of Artificial Intelligence.

Great participation from the Vice Presidents of the Academy, the centers of responsibility, faculty members, graduate students, and representatives of students from the Academy’s faculties from several specializations interested in information technology, engineering sciences, communications, artificial intelligence, health sciences, neuroscience, and psychology in the Arab workshop on the ethics of artificial intelligence and neurotechnology, which was held on Monday, July 1, 2024, in honor of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and Dr. Nuria Sanz, Director of the UNESCO Office in Cairo and the Arab Countries, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Salem Abdel Qader, chief advisor to the President of the Academy and former Minister of Communications, Professor Dr. Yousry El-Gamal, advisor to the President of the Academy and former Minister of Education, and Prof. Dr. Ali Fahmy, Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence at the Academy, in the presence of delegations of relevant Arab League organizations, representatives of UNESCO’s offices in the Arab countries, and the representative of the Social and Human Sciences Sector, UNESCO’s main headquarters.

On this occasion, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy -Abu Qir branch- extends his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, for his confidence in the work team of the College of Pharmacy to organize and prepare the Arab workshop on the ethics of artificial intelligence. She also extends her sincere thanks to Professor Dr. Ali Fahmy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Academy, El Alamein Branch, and Dr. Mustafa Rashid, Assistant President of the Academy for Arab Affairs, for their careful supervision around the clock throughout the preparation period.
