The International Day of Women and Girls in Science Celebration at AASTMT

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), in collaboration with the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science in the Arab States, is hosting a celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGIS) on February 10-11, 2024, at the AASTMT AbuKir Campus. This annual event, observed on February 11th, is dedicated to promoting the participation of women and girls in science, technology, engineering, and related fields, as well as fostering gender equality in the scientific community. The celebration aims to empower women by encouraging their pursuit of education and expanding opportunities for them in various scientific domains. The event will bring together 150 distinguished participants representing diverse generations and fields.
