In order to enhance the role of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in supporting cooperation with all scientific and research institutions in the fields of scientific development and academic research, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport signed a cooperation protocol with the Arab Association for Economic Research on Sunday, December 26, 2021. The protocol was signed by Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, and Dr. Ashraf El-Araby, former Minister of Planning, Follow-up, and Administrative Reform, at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Cairo, Smart Village branch.

The protocol aims to strengthen the cooperation between the two parties in supporting joint activities in the areas of training and scientific research, recognizing the importance of coordination and consultation between them in areas of mutual interest, especially in various economic and scientific fields.

The agreement between the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport and the Arab Association for Economic Research focuses on supporting scientific cooperation in the field of academic research to strengthen academic ties and enhance cooperation in subjects of mutual interest, such as supporting issues of common Arab work, particularly in the economic field, and enhancing ways to develop scientific and academic research in the economic field.

The agreement also facilitates the coordination of visits to exchange views on issues of common interest in the Arab and international arenas, exchanging scientific, research, and academic expertise and capabilities in the economic field. The collaboration primarily involves activities related to topics of mutual interest, including specialized training and research that involve the exchange of professors and experts from various disciplines to participate in implementing the tasks of programs, training courses, and academic activities. It also includes organizing scientific seminars, annual conferences, and discussion sessions on topics of mutual interest to enhance scientific research and academic activities, especially events like the annual economic scientific conference, which aims to strengthen relations among Arab economists, associations, and parallel scientific institutions within and outside the Arab world.
