It is our greatest pleasure to invite you to the 2nd Language and Communication International Scientific Forum: Unlocking the Future of Mass Communication, Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development Goals (LCR Forum 2023), which will be held in the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Smart Village Campus Egypt, October 9-11, 2023. The Forum is organized by the Language & Communication Research (LCR) Lab, College of Language & Communication (CLC) - Smart Village Campus.
The second edition of LCR Forum is the premier forum that brings both industry and academia for the dissemination of technological advances and research results in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across disciplines and media outlets in close relation to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In alignment with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development issued by the United Nations General Assembly and the forward-looking strategy “Egypt’s Vision 2030” that followed, this year’s edition has endeavored to inculcate and promote SDGs-oriented scientific research and ground-breaking innovation. Since we aim to provide a platform for international organizations, civil society, and the AI industry, LCR Forum is an annual event intended to provide a stimulating forum for leading inter- and multi-disciplinary researchers, engineers, scientists, and practitioners in the domains of interest from around the globe to contribute with their latest research findings, ideas, developments and applications in all aspects of Artificial Intelligence and related disciplines, namely: mass media, education, language, translation, sociology, psychology, among others.
We take pride in hosting representatives of several agencies and international organizations, leaders of the AI industry, academic experts, policy makers, and practitioners.
LCR Forum 2023 will include online/offline keynote addresses by eminent scientists as well as plenary, special, and regular presentation sessions dedicated to sustainability-oriented works to:
- exchange information on the latest trends in AI and how the trends are shaping other disciplines, both individually and collectively;
- strengthen international cooperation and partnership for promoting equitable, inclusive, and transparent use of AI across disciplines;
- maximize AI’s benefits and mitigate its potential risks; and
- leverage AI to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
