The Local contest of ICPC for AASTMT, University of Alexandria and University of Tanta Students

Within the preparation of the Egyptian universities students to participate in the International Collegiate Programming Contest ACM-ICPC, as the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) concern to support and encourage the Egyptian students as to adopt a policy to support the field of software and information technology, AASTMT Regional informatics center has organized the software and information technology contest "ACM-(Alex-Tanta) CPC"on Friday, March 1, 2013 for the students of AASTMT College of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Engineering at University of Alexandria and Faculty of Engineering at University of Tanta. As a team from AASTMT College of Engineering and Technology students has participated in the preparation of the contest questions ( Ahmed Salim - Amr Mesbah - Ahmed Kamel) where about 38 teams have participated in the contest and they were distributed as follows: -

14 teams from AASTMT College of Engineering and Technology
17 teams from Faculty of Engineering at University of Alexandria
7 teams from Faculty of Engineering at University of Tanta

It is worth to mention that three teams AASTMT College of Engineering and Technology have got the first three places in the contest and at the level of the participating universities AASTMT has got the first place, Alexandria University has got the second place and Tanta University has got the third place.
as during 2012, a team from AASTMT Regional informatics center had organized several competitions software and information technology contests at the level of the Arab nation "ACM-ACPC" the ACM Arab Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC) - ACPC, as in Egypt - Lebanon - Jordan - Syria - Tunisia - Morocco - Palestine - Amman, where AASTMT team will participate in the World Final Contest "ACM-ICPC 2013" as AASTMT team will be the representative of North Africa and the Middle East that will be held for the best 110 universities in the world, where the finals this year will be held on July 2013, at the University of San Petersburg – Russia.
