AASTMT President meeting with AASTMT Computer engineering students during Valeo Summer Internship of AAST-Valeo Collaboration Program

Within the fruitful collaboration Program of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) with Valeo International, H. E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag – AASTMT President welcomed a group of AASTMT computer engineering students during their training program with Valeo Summer Internship on Wednesday 26- 8- 2015, at AAST Smart Village Campus, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Sleimy, Canada Research Chair (CRC), department of Geomatics Engineering, University of Calgary, Canada.
AASTMT students expressed their appreciated thanks to AASTMT President for supporting them during Valeo Summer Internship to increase the technical skills of high potential candidates in the field of Embedded Systems. Students were being trained on different tools that serve the software development of embedded systems, working on projects related to industry and planning for long-term project platforms.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Sleimy was so impressed with the practical project work done by AAST students and offered two PhD full scholarships, in Calgary University, for two top students with outstanding performance. He envisioned and directed the development of several commercial-grade systems for processing and geo-referencing of close range digital imagery and mobile mapping positioning systems.
