The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021

Within the results of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021 that is considered to be one of the top 4 ratings for the world universities, and the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where the ranking calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach and teaching, the current evaluation showed the remarkable progress of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), where AASTMT has reached position 612 at the first participation in the evaluation at level of international universities and position 13 in Egypt, with the participation of 1117 international universities from 94 countries and regions.
It`s worth to mention that the Impact Rankings depends on the evaluation of all the activities of each university towards each of the sustainable development goals through an official file that the university submits and through the university official data with a minimum of four goals, where Goal No. 17 (partnerships for the goals) must be included, in addition to the three most powerful sustainable development goals, where AASTMT has achieved a distinguished ranking on the following submitted sustainable development goals, as for AASTMT continuous institutional development:
* The 3rd place in Egypt and the 207th place at the level of international universities, in achieving the fourth goal "quality of education".
* The 5th place in Egypt and the 206th at the level of international universities, in achieving the seventh goal "affordable and clean energy".
* The 6th place in Egypt and the 213th at the international universities level, in achieving the thirteenth goal "climate action".
In this regard, H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President extends his sincere congratulations to all AASTMT Family members (Academic Staff Members, Employees and Students) and praised AASTMT "Times Higher Education Impact Rankings" committee, as His Excellency ensured that AASTMT qualitative local, regional and international leap is the result of AASTMT Family members great effort and hard work, in addition to AASTMT strategy and plan that aims to spread its message in Egypt and the Arab world, with AASTMT capacities and competencies that are always able to achieve progress in line with the world educational scientific and technological developments.
