The Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) actively organizes events that bring together local farmers, food producers, and students to facilitate knowledge transfer and promote sustainable agricultural practices. These initiatives include free and paid opportunities, ensuring accessibility for diverse participants.
AASTMT facilitated a field visit to Dina Farms, a leading dairy producer, where students and local farmers engaged in discussions on sustainable farming practices, organic production methods, and advanced irrigation techniques. The event emphasized the importance of local sourcing and sustainable agriculture, fostering mutual knowledge exchange.
Another field trip connected students and farmers with experts in agricultural exports. Participants observed all stages of the production and export process, gaining insights into best practices in farming, cropping techniques, and global supply chain management.
Through a paid collaboration with Mafi, AASTMT supports local farmers and food producers by providing advanced training in artificial intelligence and modern agricultural technologies. This partnership also established a Center of Excellence for supply chain management, enabling participants to enhance their skills in technology-driven agriculture.
