IISE Students from the Industrial and Management Engineering Department, organized a science fair for the department`s students as part of our ongoing commitment to their benefit and excellence through the transfer of experiences, and knowledge, between the business sector and students.
“Process Safety Management for Prevention of Industrial Disasters”
Which we were honored to deliver by Dr. Mohamed Farouk Al-Berri, General Manager of Optics Training and Engineering Investments, diploma in occupational safety and health holder from the NEBOSH Authority - Britain and also a safety and environmental consultant for a group of industrial companies and construction projects.
That was held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Al-Farsi Hall, Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The seminar aimed to convey a comprehensive picture of the identification of industrial hazards in terms of predicting, then developing precautions, and finally strategies to face those hazards.
In addition, the conference covered understanding the job titles and job opportunities available in the market as well as advice to help students get ready for the job market.
The seminar received significant attendance and great interaction of students and attendees who showed remarkable interest in the topic.
