About	The German University in Cairo, GUC, is an Egyptian Private University founded by the presidential decree 27/2002, according to the law number 101/1992 and its executive regulations number 355/1996. German university in Cairo/Deutsche Universität in Kairo has been established in 2002 in cooperation with the State Universities of Ulm and Stuttgart, under the patronage of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts, State of Baden- Württemberg, Germany, and supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Embassy in Cairo, the Arab/German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany, The State University of Tübingen, The State University of Mannheim and the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. The German University in Cairo is an independent, non-profit oriented Egyptian private institution, managed by a consortium of Germans and Egyptians with the vision of building a leading center of excellence in teaching and research that will effectively contribute to the general welfare nationally and internationally and endeavour the scientific, technical, economic and cultural cooperation between Egypt and Germany. About	About IET constitutes the key technology for the scientific and technical progress in many areas of human life. Utilizing the latest developments in electronics, communication, network & AI technologies provide a unique basis for the development of innovative applications in various fields. It is widely acknowledged that an engineering undergraduate education is a strong foundation for a successful career in many disciplines. The faculty has been careful to develop a forward-looking curriculum, taking into account the expertise and technologies required in the job markets of the future. About	The Faculty of Information Engineering and Technology (IET) at the German University in Cairo (GUC) offers several degrees with significant professional scopes in Electronics, Communications, and Networks. The primary degree is an International Bachelor of Science in Information Engineering and Technology, which is a 4-year, 8-semester program. Graduates can then pursue an International Master of Science in Information Engineering and Technology, a 3-semester program, with the possibility of achieving an Egyptian Bachelor's degree in Engineering after an additional year of study. All IET Bachelor and Master programs are internationally accredited by ACQUIN. Scope of IET Majors Electronics graduates are prepared for careers in development and research, design, implementation, testing, and verification of electronic circuits and systems, semiconductor devices, embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT), or automation engineering. Communications engineers focus on researching, designing, building, and marketing the next generation of products in wired/wireless technologies, including developing, testing, and optimizing telecommunication networks like 6G and beyond and growing IoT networks. Networks professionals master telecommunication networks, with roles ranging from troubleshooting and system design/analysis to increasingly demanded job titles like IoT network design, security engineer, cloud network architects, and data scientists.
