AASTMT Pharmacy Students Dive into Cutting-Edge Research at Alexandria University's Medical Centre
On Tuesday 28/11/2023, the Medical Research Center at the Faculty of Medicine - Alexandria University received a delegation of students from the College of Pharmacy (AASTMT, Abu Qir branch) and the Dean of the College, Prof Dr. Amira Senbel and Dr. Dalia Yahya, head of the pharmaceutical practice department and supervisor of the journal club, teaching assistant, Nehal Wafik, and Ms. Hind Al-Nimr from the deanship of student affairs. They were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Radwa Muhanna, executive director of the Center of Excellence for research in regenerative medicine and applications CERRMA, Dr. Hager Al-Kafrawi, deputy director of the Center and a distinguished team of researchers. Prof. Dr. Radwa Muhanna gave an introductory lecture about the research center and the latest capabilities available in it, including modern and advanced devices used in the field of scientific research. An introductory overview of stem cells, cell transplantation, and their various applications in the field of scientific research was also provided. The students then toured the specialized research laboratories: laboratories for genomics, proteomics, molecular biology, chromatographic analysis, and atomic absorption. The students expressed their happiness and benefit from the fruitful scientific visit. The students and the college administration extend their sincere thanks to the Research Excellence Center team.
