Electric Motors for Electric Vehicles Webinar

From the pursuit of the Electrical and Control Engineering department to offer seminars on topics aligned with the job market to disseminate knowledge and experiences from companies and experts in the workforce, both locally and internationally.

With gratitude, the scientific seminar titled 'Electric Motors for Electric Vehicles' was successfully held on Monday, November 27, 2023. It was presented by Dr. Shaohong Zhu, an Electric Machine Engineer at Accelera by Cummins, United Kingdom. The event was organized by the Electrical and Control Engineering department under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Walid Ahmed Maher Ghoneim and Dr. Ahmed Haballah, a lecturer in the Electrical and Control Engineering department.

The lecture witnessed significant success, with a large attendance of specialized engineers, postgraduate students, and numerous enthusiasts in the field of electric vehicles from various universities within and outside Egypt. The presentation covered several points, starting with an introduction to Cummins and its solutions and products to serve and develop the electric vehicle market. It was followed by a lecture on the design and control of a three-phase dual-pole electric motor for electric vehicles, highlighting advanced methods in controlling these types of motors.
