STUDENT ACCOMMODATION

AASTMT is committed to providing accessible and inclusive accommodation for all students, including those with disabilities. The AASTMT has a variety of policies and procedures in place to ensure that all students have equal access to housing and support services.


Available Housing Options

AASTMT offers a variety of housing options for students with disabilities, including:

  • Accessible rooms: All AASTMT student housing rooms are wheelchair accessible, with wide doorways, ramps, and elevators.
  • Adaptive furniture: Students with disabilities can request adaptive furniture, such as raised beds, grab bars, and shower chairs.
  • Accessible bathrooms: All AASTMT bathrooms are accessible, with grab bars, roll-in showers, and toilet risers.
  • Roommates with disabilities: Students with disabilities can request to be housed with roommates who also have disabilities.

In addition to these physical accommodations, AASTMT also offers a variety of support services for students with disabilities, including:

Academic support services: AASTMT provides academic support services to students with disabilities, such as note-taking services, tutoring, and adaptive technology instruction.

Personal support services: AASTMT provides personal support services to students with disabilities, such as sign language interpreters, mobility assistance, and personal care assistance.

Emotional support: AASTMT provides emotional support to students with disabilities, such as counseling, support groups, and advocacy services.
